El Acuerdo de Asociación UE-Chile es uno de los más ambiciosos de su época: gracias al Acuerdo, la UE mantiene una privilegiada relación con Chile. Sin embargo, desde 2003, cuando el pilar comercial de nuestro Acuerdo entró en vigor, el mundo ha cambiado. Tanto la UE como Chile han firmado otros acuerdos más modernos con otros socios y han surgido nuevas temáticas en la economía mundial. Por eso nuestro desafío es modernizar el Acuerdo de Asociación, para que esta historia de éxito continúe también en el futuro. ¿Cuáles han sido los logros? ¿Cuáles son los desafíos? Identificarlos es el objetivo de este seminario.

The EU-Chile Association Agreement is one of the most ambitious of its time: thanks to the Agreement, the EU maintains a privileged relationship with Chile. However, since 2003, when the trade pillar of our Agreement came into force, the world has changed. Both the EU and Chile have signed more modern agreements with other partners and new issues have emerged in the world economy. That is why our challenge is to modernize the Association Agreement, so that this success story continues also in the future. What have been the achievements? What are the challenges? Identifying them is the aim of this seminar.
